Well, Danielle & Steve’s wedding at Brinsop Court July 2019 was one of our FAVOURITE weddings ever. Outdoor weddings always feel so special to me & this day proved that even if the weather isn’t too great - they can still be amazing!

I was photographing & Rob was filming on this day (you can see their trailer at the bottom of the blog), so we both started bridal prep in the main house along with their gorgeous ceremony set up outside, with flowers by the incredible Issy & Bella; who was also our wedding florist! We then took a quick stroll to the boys who were getting ready in another cottage on the grounds. This made it very easy for us to document both sides. Although the weather was hit & miss, they managed to have their outdoor ceremony with personal vows, which really was so picturesque & intimate. As you legally have to get married under a structure, we then followed them with their parents inside to legally sign the papers. It didn’t have any impact on the day or their guests, but meant they could have a much more personal ceremony. This then lead them out into the confetti line & little splatters of rain started which guests were prepared for with umbrellas. I then loved that they did the cake cutting at the start of the drinks reception, this then meant the guests could eat it straight away, & it was a lovely idea to have this rather than the usual canapés before a big meal. Now, when I say everything about this wedding was outdoors, I mean everything! Even their wedding breakfast, which was accompanied by a rain shower just as the food arrived. Luckily the guests found it hilarious, & I think it made this wedding even more brilliant. Nobody was stressed, they just popped their umbrellas up & had a good old sing song during their dinner in the rain. Luckily it wasn’t torrential & did keep stopping which was lucky during the speeches - which were beautiful by the way! Steve did the most romantic speech which included a golf ball he had kept from their very first date. He popped it into Danielles champagne glass, very James Bond style & it actually made everyone gasp. Another highlight was the DIY Gin bar which meant guests could do their own measurements…..say no more!

They then had their first dance under the wooden canopy outside which created the most amazing atmosphere & when we were heading home, we really felt the love & it certainly melted myself, Rob & Mark (Rob’s assistant filmmaker).

Everything about this day was perfect. LOVELY group of guests - half of which came all the way from Australia, where Steve is originally from, gorgeous details, kissing in the rain, but most importantly, two of the most fabulous people - Danielle & Steve who have the most incredible nature & energy.
