Amy contacted me before they had even found their venue. She knew I was the right photographer for her so I was instantly on board & felt the trust needed to get the best possible images for herself & Ryan. When she came back & told me they had booked Almonry Barn I was even more excited as I had seen images & always wanted to photograph there!
Although we were in touch in all the time in the run up to the wedding, I didn't meet Amy & Ryan until a few weeks before for their engagement shoot at Stowe Gardens. This gave them chance to have some pictures together before the big day & get a feel as to what it would be like being photographed by me.
Amy booked me a lovely B&B for the night before so I didn't have to do the early 2 1/2 hour drive on the morning which I am so glad about as the traffic was terrible! I felt very relaxed & chilled after my mini night away ready for the big day.
We started at The Devonshire Arms Hotel for bride & groom prep, then all made our way to the gorgeous venue. As soon as I arrived, like a few previous weddings I felt like I was abroad with the heat, clear blue skies & gorgeous grounds filled with apple trees. It was such a beautiful service filled with emotion which then carried through the whole day into the speeches. It was a very intimate & moving day, which again I loved even more due to the fact Amy & Ryan said their own vows (my favourite thing!). Amy really had a clear goal for their day which shone through & made everything feel that little bit more special (including myself). Her vision was fabulous & I particularly loved the black tie & long lace - even if it was boiling hot; & I don't know where to start with how gorgeous the flowers were. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.....
All in all - this was a wedding very close to my heart & I am so happy Amy found me!
