On the morning of Caroline & Ross's wedding I was doing my usual speech to the clouds whenever it's raining on the morning of the big day (which is was. TORRENTIAL!). As soon as I arrived at the gorgeous Alrewas Hayes I was blown away by the stunning interiors so didn't feel as threatened by the current weather situation. We were lucky in some parts but just as the group photos were about to start the rain came tumbling back down so these had to happen inside, but caused no disruption or panic! You absolutely cannot let the weather take over your day - you just have to go with it. Then once everyone had eaten, I couldn't believe the golden hour that came from nowhere, so I managed to get a few more shots with Caroline & Ross in the beautiful light! So, my morning monologue to the skies worked.
I will stop talking about the weather now & move onto the lovely Caroline & Ross. They had specifically asked for the majority of the day to be as natural as possible, which most people usually do, but it was very important for natural moments & emotions to be captured between their children & the rest of their family & friends. It was very easy for me to do this with how loving and tactile everyone was towards each other! Everywhere I turned someone was either cuddling, kissing, laughing or crying so I never had to guide anyone or wait for the 'perfect moment' - hopefully you can see this when looking through the images, the love & wonderful craziness which surrounded the whole day is flowing through.
I had a lovely message from Caroline when she recieved her final images which put the biggest & most rewarding smile on my face:
Thank you so much for capturing some of those special moments and some absolutely perfect images of Ross and I and our girls and of course our families and friends. These moments we know we can never recreate so to have these images to reflect on, mean the world. We will treasure them always. Each one captures the fun and love in a completely natural way which is what we really wanted. We didn't want anything too "staged" and you've nailed time and time again. We can never thank you enough!! Lots of love Caroline & Ross xxxxx"
